Welcome to the June edition of the Employment Hero Product Update. It’s hard to believe we’re more than halfway through the year (seriously, where has the time gone…?), which means one thing: we’re rounding up the latest and greatest product updates from the last month.
So what’s up? We’ve introduced a new round of SmartMatch updates, internal job postings, a new team bidding feature, a whole bunch of dashboard widgets, increased personalization of performance reviews and much more . Everything is there and ready to use on the platform – let’s get started!
Boost your recruiting with the latest SmartMatch updates
We’ve made finding top talent easier and faster, and we’re excited to share with you the next round of exciting new updates to SmartMatch. These updates aim to help you find even more relevant and interested candidates for newly created jobs.
SmartMatch will now check candidate interest levels for your new jobs and automatically pre-screen interested individuals.
When you create a new job in the Recruitment module, SmartMatch checks the interest levels of candidates automatically shortlisted for positions by sending them a quick email or SMS. From there, applicants can respond with an “Interested” or “Not Interested” response.
This allows the hiring manager to easily identify candidates who are actively interested in the position. When a candidate is interested in your position, hiring managers will receive an email inviting you to review the candidate’s profile in the ATS and take any necessary next steps.
Customize SmartMatch searches – Job title, industry and keywords
Now you can Refine your SmartMatch searches by easily updating job titles, industries, and keywords for your searches to find the perfect match.
AI highlights relevant upgrade and qualifications
Finally, we’ve enhanced our AI highlights by providing a summary of the candidate’s profile and why they’re a good fit for your role. It also identifies the candidate’s most relevant education and certifications for the position.

Presentation of internal job offers

Do you want to hire within your organization? We just made it a lot easier.
Now, when you post a job on Swag Jobs, you have an additional option to post the job to internal employees only. Employees can view and apply for available internal positions from the Career pillar of the Swag app.

Discover the new Shift Bidding feature in Rostering
Available for the following HR plans: Platinum
Do you want to give your team more flexibility when it comes to shifts? Check out our new Shift Bidding feature in Rostering.
The new Shift Bidding feature allows you to create open shifts so employees can claim their shifts. The shift will be automatically assigned to the first employee to request the shift.
You can also configure auction deadline and notification reminders. Go toTime > List Management > List Settings to enable team bidding.

Direct messaging functionality updated in the Recruitment module
Available for the following HR plans: Standard, Premium, Platinum
Communication is key when it comes to recruiting, which is why we’ve upgraded the direct messaging functionality in the Recruiting module. Now it’s even easier for you to communicate with candidates on the platform and keep them informed of key updates in the recruitment process.
You can now format text, add attachments, and send mass direct messages to candidates.

We’ve added a whole new bunch of widgets and features to the dashboard
We have upgraded the Employment Hero dashboard. You can now create a more personalized dashboard for an enhanced user experience that suits you.
ForStandardAndPrime customers, you will find two new widgets:
Exit the calendar widget
Admins and managers can view pending and approved time off in a simple calendar view right from the dashboard.
Quick Actions Widget
Easily access frequently used actions, such as adding employees, policies, documents, timesheets, and more.

For our Platinum customers, you will see the widgets above, along with the following:
Pin frequently used reports
Pin your most used reports to your dashboard to easily find the information you need. Simply go to “Add Report” at the top of your dashboard to add up to five reports.
Celebrations Widget
Platinum Client Admins, Owners, and Managers can also see birthdays and business anniversaries in the new Celebrations widget in the dashboard.

Presentation of the new “Certification number” field
Available for the following HR plans: Standard, Premium, Platinum
Do you have roles in your organization that require specific certifications? We’ve added an additional field to the upload process to make it easier to check the validity of certifications.
You can now enable an optional “Certification Number” field to allow employees to include this information when adding a certification, eliminating the need to capture this information manually. The certification number will also be included in reports, simplifying your compliance efforts.

Increased personalization in performance reviews
Available for the following HR plans: Premium, Platinum
We’ve added an extra layer of customization and flexibility to performance reviews to help you create the perfect experience for your team.
When creating a new performance review period, you can now select whether the primary manager, secondary manager, or both managers should complete an employee’s performance review. This customization is perfect for teams whose employees work more closely with their secondary manager and therefore should also be included in the performance review process.
