<p><em>Five years ago, for </em><strong><em>Nick Lloyd, senior product manager, Nick Lloyd</em></strong><em>    And his team was the first day. No code had yet been written for their last project. The cursor blinks on a clear screen.</em> </p>
<p><em>Their challenge? To build an account production module for IRIS elements &#8211; our most recent work of the tax, LMA and the practice management solution. This meant that it had to be created for the cloud (&#8220;native cloud&#8221;), with a modern sensation and design that would meet hopes and expectations that users have online technology. </em> </p>
<p><em>Since then, the team has been occupied. The result is the production of Iris Elements accounts. Designed in partnership with industry, it has matured to include perfect tools for companies the size of a business and their complex customers.</em> </p>
<p><em>So how did we achieve this? We spent a little time talking to Nick to discover it. </em> </p>
<p><strong>Q: To start, could you tell us a bit about you?</strong> </p>
<p><strong>Notch: </strong>I am a main product manager, which means that I am responsible for the roadmap for all account production products at Iris. My job is to listen to customers and make sure we build good things for them. This includes the IRIS Elements account production company. Before joining Iris, I worked in general practice.  </p>
<p><strong>Q: What was the mission on the first day, with Iris Elements Accounts Production Enterprise?</strong> <br /><strong>Notch:</strong> We had to create a brand new module for our Cloud platform, Iris Elements. </p>
<p>Its predecessor, our “office” solution, is a powerful reference in industry. This is currently the choice for large companies we work with. </p>
<p>But because we were building something new, we thought it was important to have an account production solution that develops with practices. Customers could then choose the solution they needed at a price that corresponds. </p>
<p>Iris Elements Accounts Production <em>East</em> This scalable offer, with three levels: Essentials, Professional and Enterprise. </p>
<p><strong>Q: What is particularly difficult in construction for businesses at business level?</strong> <br /><strong>Notch:</strong> As the size of the practice develops, the types of accounts they produce become more varied and more complex. Thus, the software must be able to face more; For example, with FRS 102, we must offer audit reports, cash states and increase the amount of disclosure. </p>
<p><strong>Q: Iris has built its cloud platform of elements completely internally from zero. What was your approach to build your account production module?</strong> <br /><strong>Notch:</strong> We had to decide what to be similar to our office software and what we wanted to do differently for the cloud. For example, we examined workflows. They had changed with the introduction of more digital file outfits. We also admitted that the recovery of percentage costs that our customers could make were lower, for example, 10 to 15 years ago. With our new software, we took the opportunity to reset the workflow, making it more effective, but still arriving at the same result.  </p>
<p>We made sure that the best features of office software, such as account graphics and rounding logic, have been brought.  </p>
<p><strong>Q: What are you the most proud so far with IRIS ELEMENTS PRODUCTION ENTERPRISE?</strong> <br /><strong>Notch:</strong> I would say he launches something from scratch. We had nothing five years ago. Now when you show customers the result, there is an incredibly enriching feeling.  </p>
<p><strong>Q: What is the advantage of software as the IRIS elements under construction for the cloud?</strong> <br /><strong>Notch:</strong> You can access it via any browser from anywhere, as long as you have an internet connection.  </p>
<p>The days of having to safeguard manually are over. Meanwhile, native cloud safety stops the hackers at each turn. </p>
<p>And when it comes to staying in accordance with new rules, software updates are immediate. </p>
<p><strong>Q: It was a whole trip. Who is able to make the most of the Iris Elements account production company right now?</strong> <br /><strong>Notch:</strong> Practices with three to five partners will love this software. There are also professional and essential versions for any smaller business than that. Our next milestone will be companies with ten partners. </p>
<p><strong>Q: What is new users really like?</strong> <br /><strong>Notch:</strong> It&#8217;s incredibly easy to use. Iris Elements Accounts production takes very little time to understand. People are waiting for the same conviviality as applications on your phone. </p>
<p>To ensure that the new accountants will like it, we have tested IRIS elements on the last cycle students of accounting and finance, and the comments were phenomenally positive. They picked it up very quickly. </p>
<p><strong>Q: How do you collect customer comments otherwise?</strong> <br /><strong>Notch:</strong> We obtain comments by emails, events, on-site visits and a portal of ideas where customers can request and vote on functionality. We also have backward adopting feedback sessions, which means that we can test new workflows when they reach users.  </p>
<p>Listening is essential. We have our own ambitions, but it is always important to listen to our customers to make sure that we can bring them the types of success they also hope. </p>
